Comments:

Hiding out with the club call of the Northern Ohio DX Association. Scattered
time operating among yard work, sleep, and grandkids. I was on the air when the
flare hit at 1630Z on Sunday – the bands sure went dead. But they did come back
later in the afternoon.

Six band QSOs with KC1XX and K3LR.

No assistance used.

I usually put in a decent effort in the WPX CW but this year I was fully
occupied with house repairs and yard work. Conditions seemed pretty good while
I was on except not much heard on 10M. Skip on 15 was pretty long after the
first couple of hours so EU stations that I could easily work at 9 AM couldn’t
hear me at 11 AM.Highlight was working my friend 9M6NA (op JE1JKL)on 15M at around 2 PM my local
time (2AM his time). With 100W and a low 40M dipole, I know that I am extremely weak at his end, but if anyone can pull in my puny signal, it is
Saty.
