The NCC summer picnic was held July 27^th, 2024 at K3LR. NCC members had the chance to tour the superstation and eat some very good BBQ brisket and smoked macaroni & cheese. The 2024 YDXA Team was in the shack simultaneously working the IOTA contest via CW and SSB modes. They made 2000 QSO’s in 8 hours! NCC members were able to interact with the youth operators and their parents, while socializing with friends. The summer business meeting was held, resulting in two new members, Katie Campbell, KE8LQR and Grace Papay, K8LG. If you were unable to attend the event, feel free to introduce yourself to these two young operators. I am sure they would appreciate a welcome to the club. Have a wonderful, safe summer full of the sweet sounds of amateur radio!
